ISACA GNO Chapter HistoryThe chapter was formed under EDPAA in 1982. In the 1990s ISACA National changed the name of the organization from EDPAA to ISACA which stood for Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Recently, in order to expand the scope beyond audit and control to governance the acronym has been changed to a word
In the 1980s the New Orleans chapter had approximately 45 members with 20 regularly attending meetings.

There was a chapter newsletter called the Mudbug which Brenda helped put together.
Membership fell off in the 1990s when many of the oil companies downsized and left New Orleans.
